Concept opportunity

I had the opportunity to design a new packaging concept for Kahlua, focusing on sustainability and reusability while enhancing the brand's premium image. The concept aimed to create a bold, versatile design that would appeal to a wide range of consumers and settings.

I prioritised sustainable packaging materials and ensured the design was reusable whenever possible, aligning with growing consumer demand for eco-friendly products. I selected a sleek black bottle, providing a sophisticated and versatile look that could seamlessly fit into any setting, whether at home or at an event. I created a custom Day of the Dead-inspired illustration that added a vibrant and cultural touch to the design. Each bottle flavour featured a unique colour variation of the illustration, adding variety while maintaining a cohesive brand identity. The illustration and colour schemes were designed to be playful and lively, with the intention of making the product stand out on shelves and look visually appealing in marketing materials.

The final packaging concept successfully blended a premium aesthetic with sustainability, reinforcing Kahlua’s brand values while offering consumers an eco-conscious option. The custom illustration and bright, engaging colours ensured the packaging looked dynamic and appealing, while its versatility and reusable design added value for customers.
